So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

I knew at the time that I ought to buy two…

I find the flexibility a bit disconcertin’. Tins should not boggle.

The bread-silicone doesn’t stay bread-shaped; it bulges. The eight-inch sponge tins are fine but you have to put them onto a baking tray or you can’t get them out of the oven without them trying to fold up, which is not good for the cakes inside them. I suspect that rock-cake or Yorkshire pudding cases in a tray might be less liable to collapse of one sort or another.

I think I’ll stick with spoons & brushes…

Speaking of brushes, we have a new turkey-baster (the rubber of the old one had perished) which is made of silicone, and has both a silicone brush which fits onto the bottom of it, and a spike ditto through which juice from under the bird can be injected into it. All very snazzy, and dishwasherable too. That arrived today.

Short version: teeheeheeheehee.

Longer version: it made short work of some gorse trunks. Very little extra vibration when cutting rather than just spinning, which will take some getting used to.

Quite small. Standard reference pint for scale.

A slight push needed, and there it wasn’t.

This is the Advanced Cut 18:

(by several accounts the Easy Cut 12, the one in the video, while smaller and cheaper is also heavier and less powerful…)

I was wearing heavy gloves and a helmet with mesh beakguard and ear defenders. The noise isn’t too bad, but I’d want the baffling for more than trivial use - I feel the same way about a pressure washer.

Thanks. I’ll let him consider his options upon receipt of your opinion.

That sounds somewhat sinister, wee Bee.
