So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

A victory song just for you, Gus…

Haaa. Takes me back. Old Father Armrest wouldn’t let me join the Scouts, pronouncing “I’m not having you join any paramilitary organisation”. He ridiculed my desire to own an Action Man too.

It was an odd life.

Yet I was an altar boy till 16 !!

This is me, practicing to be 16, and OFA making sure I didn’t break anything. Note the pre-expoded exhaust Ford Anglia panda car in the background.

How splendid! That’s what ought to happen when people seek out silly places for outside broadcasts.

The porridge was being made in its thermos ready for breakfast, Carinthia.

Speaking of breakfast – since That Bird has set out to drive as far as I did yesterday for s gaming day, I had better call a

I didn’t even consider the Brownies, as I wouldn’t be seen dead in the uniform.
Brown is really not my colour

I was a Patrol Leader in the Girl Guides though

Ongoing Wevver here. It was a noisy night

The wind has dropped considerably here now, we’re down to gale force rather than severe gale, and the sun has come out - so better conditions may reach those of you further east before too very long. Sea state predicted to remain very high for ages yet though.

3 large ridge tiles are by our door, the next door neighbour presumably having brought them from his drive.

Several slates have gone for a walk. What are the chances that they’ll make their way back ?

Ooo Armrest that’s not good

I adore the fish faced reporter

Here we have still a lot of wind but it’s coming from the north and we are promised wintry showers

Don’t leave any food around, including bird-feeders, and hope it goes away. They often do if there is nothing for them in that garden.

If you see it again later in the week, call the council and they can advise about pest control. I can’t remember whether rats are their responsibility or whether you will have to pay someone to come out; it probably varies from place to place. The local council website ought to say.

Yes, we’ll not be feeding the birds for a while. I’m wondering if it’s been washed out by the rain and might just bugger back from whence it came. Our house insurance includes pest control. We had a horrible infestation, many moons ago and this has made me jittery. Our house is as rat-proofed as it’s possible to be. Oh, yuk.

In other news - we have spring-cleaned the kitchen (I know and onna Sunday, too).

You’re quite sure you are not unwell and hallucinating rats?

I mean, spring-cleaning on a Sunday…
