So, who wants to help ... to rattle on in the cellar?

Cheshire. There’s posh for you.

Hope it’s a great weekend for you.

… & last night, going to bed, lenses out & with only the light from the staircase on I moved a tissue and a pen lid from the quilt to find the pen lid was soft, furry and stingy.

It was a wasp. Dopey and none too active, but active enough to sting my finger tip. Little b@stard.

Did you know that being pounded by a bottle of Cillit Bang (anti-blackmould, very effective, I heartily recommend it) is lethal to them ?

Right

I have spoken with BiL who is warming himself at Local Daughter’s Logburner/Stove Showroom

Other Daughter is coming on Sunday, & staying for the day only , so my bed is secure

Howsumevva

I have decided that I am too tired & shaky after yesterday, to go shopping, & then drive for 45 minutes to BiL’s. I can drive for an hour max. on a good day, but not today !

I will gather meself, & rest after doing what I have to do today, & go there tomorrow morning/lunchtime , instead

Dere Chatelaine, I am grately relieved to hear it. Not that you are feeling shaky, of course, but that you are taking today to recoup.
Some serious flumping seems to be in order

Thank goodness for people (such as you, dear Chatelaine) who are able to be Sensible!

I speak as someone who might be the other person on the road, who worried about you being a Wobbly Driver.

Look after yourself a bit and take it easy for the rest of the day, recruiting your strength for the morrow.

Yes, Fishy. I don’t want to be responsible for myself today, let alone anyone else!

My poor Darling Stepdaughter is driving back to Bude as we speak . It took her 6.5 hours to get here on Tuesday.

Grandson is 28 today (!) & will be in Bude for the weekend with his girlfriend. He lives & works in TTL, & she lives & works in Oxford ATM , so this week/end has been an logistical nightmare for the whole Carinthian Fambly , one way or another

Well, here we are, and here I am again.
A story:

When I was about 6 years old, me Daddy took me to the sitting room window and asked me what I wanted in the whole world. I told him, frankly, that I wanted a Dog. He sighed and removed his hands from my eyes, so that I could see the glorious upright piano that was being manhandled up the drive. I have just watched the John Lewis Christmas advert*, and it didn’t jerk a single tear from me. Even though that was one of the happiest days of my life. Plots are being lost, all over the place.

I have just watched the reaction to that advert on ‘GoggleBox’ & the concensus (sp?) was that most people , if they got the point of it, didn’t feel that it was very Christmassy

Gin, Dear

You’ll need it

Ditto. Except here Mrs. Shanks, surprisingly, was in floods & waa peeved that the Gogglers shown were "not the right demographic ".

Well, I am as far from the right demographic as a bee could be, Armers (respeck to the Surprising One). I just don’t get it.
Anyhoo, I’ll bee off to bed. Sis will land for a visit on Sunday until Thursday and I must bee prepared!
Best dreams, Cellarites.

Whereas I (very sensibly) have been watching What’s New Pussycat – a version in which the Author’s Message does not appear on the screen, which is a pity.

It goes on being funny, I’m glad to say.
