I to am off out, to drive about ninety miles into the Frozen East… I live perhaps 1000 yards from a motorway, and the hotel at the other end is about as far from a major A-road, so I don’t have much fear that the roads won’t be clear.

I have salmon marinating, for grilling inna couple of hours. Potatoes with fennel and ginger will be offered, alongside broccoli, mangetout and sweet chilli sauce (the latter for Mr Bee, only).
I wish all travellers safe journeys home.
