Several people on the Campsite have them & bake cakes & all sorts in them as well as cooking potatoes
17 litres would feed the whole lot ovvus though…

Hardly - it’s not even 30 pints.
17 litres of chips however…
I’m not sure you should eat on an empty stomach
I’ll start at this end…
[peckity] [peckity] [peckity] [peckity] [peckity]
(I have seen jackdaws who were very nearly too fat to fly, at RAF Cosford near the café…)
Starts peeling spuds for the next batch of chips for the cellarati…
That all sounds very formal and organised. The ones round here don’t bother using airfields.
Or were they looking for a lift?
Hoping one of the big ones would keel over so that they could have a feast, I reckon.
The Day of the Kitchen has arrived.
Well, it arrived yestetday tbh.
Ripped out the old one & today “de-tiled” walls & floors. New tiles delivered. Also did initial gas & water stuff, marking out and had electrician & plumber round going “hmmmm !” rather a lot.
2.5 weeks more till it’s finished … even then it’ll be a couple of weeks for the glass splashback to be measured, cut, coloured & fitted
Meanwhile, can I cope with 3 weeks od ‘DING’ meals & Whirled Cups.
Well I like furrin instant-noodle bowls. As got from local Chinese supermarket or similar, though the Vietnamese and Thai ones are more interesting.
The air fryer (see above) is your friend in such circs
I tried one last year, to find it took longer to make some chips than to drive to a chippy & back … twice. Not convinced by them at all.
Each to their own, of course, but you might feel differently after a week of pinging…
Quote of the week, joe.

Don’t you be too sure of that, my girl
[Gus muttered darkly]

[waves photograph of tiny tin of tonic in vaguely cellarly direction]
OK that’s enough.
However, I have a wee flagonette of this:

I’ll be sharing that with you then, Hedgers. It’s rather lovely, imo.
I am ensuring, assiduously, that the Pernod will be in place for the Chatelaine’s visit.
[Scuttles out the back]
Phew! There’s a full one. Lately provided.
Best dreams, Cellarites,
