We got our Council Tax bill for 2018-19 yesterday.

TSMS opens letter & says what it is.

Me - what IS our Council Tax Band btw ?
TSMS - ā€¦ weā€™re in two bands.
Me - Two ? How does that work ??
TSMS - Iā€™m not sure. But we are ā€¦ & Iā€™m not asking, in case weā€™re benefitting from an error.
ME - I donā€™t see how we can be in two. Which ones ?
TSMS - Well, we are ā€¦ weā€™re in B and D.
Me - B and D ??
TSMS - Yes ā€¦ see ā€¦ (shows me the letter)
Me - ā€¦ that doesnā€™t say ā€œB and Dā€ ā€¦ it says ā€œBand Dā€ !!!

I am toying with the idea of beach walk, as the sun should be with us until 4.

Tonightā€™s dinner will comprise tempura king prawns with stir-fried veg (extra broccoli) and rice for himself. I need to lose a bit of the weight I have gained over the long and dismal winter.

No glitter on me, in fact my only embellishment after our beach walk was a beetle in my hair which OH removed. Heā€™ll get fresh rice for that. I was very surprised to see just how far the tides have been and are coming onto the beach. The place where we usually leave terra firma (also the route designated for horses) ends in an eight foot vertical drop - the dunes are very diminished. We did manage a bit of a scramble at another point, but the beach looks completely altered and the sea was most definitely after us. Molto stressoso.

Aldiā€™s world-beating Cromwell is providing some solace.

Meanwhile, beef / herb mix is prepared, rolls are cooling and a pot of Gusā€™s chilli & tomato sauce is at the reducing stage. I have to say it smells wonderful - canā€™t wait to try it.

Have just had a taste of Gusā€™s sauce. WOW!

Used two red finger chillies (I know whoā€™ll be eating it!), removing them and bay leaf as per instructions. Definitely one for the ā€œregularā€ list.
