Viral DOOM

Have just heard an interview on Austrian TV with a German Virologist Christian Drosten. Both fascinating & sensible, which makes a change ATM

…but just how far away?? I am reminded of something in a book I first encountered when I was about 13 (I think it was published in 1961) called “Lady Luck” I recently got the Kindle version, and sure enough there it was:

“There are more than 10**19 molecules in a cubic centimeter of gas under normal conditions; and Sir James Jeans pointed out that when anyone draws a breath it is highly probable that it contains some of the molecules of the dying breath of Julius Caesar.”

Weaver, Warren. Lady Luck: The Theory of Probability (Dover Books on Mathematics) . Dover Publications. Kindle Edition.

That’s fine: don’t think it was coronavirus that did for him.

Oh, out of the mouths of babes from Chesterfield.

A tad more info ca be found on BBC Wales news on the BBC website.

It appears that Betsi (not the owd girl herself, but the Health Board) DECIDED not to use a counting system specifically introdced across all Welsh Boards for this very purpose. Some small, senior I assume, group looked at it & said “naah, not for us”. During 5 years under special measures.

Maybe after 5 years, special ain’t so special.

How inept are these people ?

Out of 10 ?

BBC News - Coronavirus: Virus deaths error blamed on system ‘glitch’

“Betsi Cadwaladr decided not to use that system and used a different system. That’s why there has been a glitch in the process which has now been corrected.”

We bees watched ‘Contagion’, this arvo. Why on earth were questions not asked after this film’s showing in 2011 but, also, not answered?

To be honest, yer bees have been asking the questions, but lots of people didn’t respond. We are quite small and insignificant.

I saw it shortly after it was released. On a packed transatlantic flight.

Not the best choice when breathing recirculated air for seven hours …

But can you be sure she saw it clearly ? Gurt big letter 'A’s are all well & good, but it’s the bottom line which matters

It has the small print on it
