I am still contemplating telling the GP that I will wait to be innoculated until I can be positively guaranteed that I will get the second dose within six weeks as the manufacturers recommend, as opposed to the twelve weeks the government has decided on no scientific basis whatever.

I am unconvinced, on the whole. Messing about with the science for no good reason is rarely a good idea, and ignoring the manufacturer’s explicit instructions is only valid if it is “best before” dates.
What I really, really do not want to do is be protected enough to think I am protected and that the cold I have is just a cold, and go around spreading this virus in ignorance.
