Freddie finds a leather jacket in the back of Lily’s car and think’s she has a secret boyfriend - she is coy about who the owner is.
Never mind the blasted apostrophe; how old are they, twelve?

Brian enacts his latest plan to win back Jennifer’s affection
No. No no no no no no. That’s not how it works.
At least Justin has a solution to Brian’s marriage troubles - DIY. When Justin fixed a wonky shelf recently Lilian couldn’t keep her hands off him!
The only gentlemanly response to being told that is “I’m sorry, have we met?”.
After the service Alan finds Shula clearing gravestones.
“I need a brain for the master… oh, hi Vic.”
Will wins the match for Ambridge
But of course he does.
It’s all so Effing Unbelievable, isn’t it ?
Brian’s character transplant is almost the last straw
Sigh

Further immoderate snorkage.

“Archers summary for 15 May 2018: Pat faces some home truths.”
I would have said that was exactly wrong: what happened was that she didn’t face some home truths: she ignored them.
15 May:
Pat […] is shocked when Olwen appears with a black eye, brandishing a bread knife. Olwen won’t tell Pat what happened, and she refuses a lift to the hospital.
“I won fifty quid in the hobo fights!”
Yet again, she is presented with someone telling her what is wrong in her life, and fails to recognise it.

She may not like what he did but it’s a consequence of her actions.
And it was all going so well up to that point. “It’s no longer any of your business” is the core point here; trying to put the blame on her is exactly the wrong way to do that.
(I accept that the synopsis-writers very often give an impression completely different from what was actually recorded.)
She doesn’t like the fact that having been told by her that their marriage is over, and her refusing to discuss the matter with him at all (nor any of the practical details like “who gets the house” and “how do we split our two businesses which share the same premises”), Alistair spent the night with another woman. This is something which only happened as a direct consequence of what she did; if they were still being married and sleeping in the same bed, instead of him having been told to get out of it and moved first into the spare room then into his father’s house and then into the spare room again, he would not have been sleeping with anyone else.
But “I’ve lost control of the whole situation” and is “embarrassed”.
What a selfish angle to view it all from.
I think “I’ve lost control of the whole situation” sums up what ails Shula, doesn’t it?
She has been accustomed throughout their marriage to controlling Alistair. Now he has thrown off the shackles, and she doesn’t know what to do.
20 May:
Harrison, who has lost his voice
This is the radio equivalent of a cost-saving invisible monster in Doctor Who, isn’t it?
Doc Locke or Bunter probably picked it up by mistake.
27 May:
Alistair and Shula agree that, despite their awkward living situation, they want to make the most of the day.
“You can do a lot of damage with a cricket ball.”
They used it to tell Susan to neb out, which was a plus.

and may the Lord have mercy on her soul.
I doubt she still has one/any. Like relatives, they are generally unable to penetrate the force field that surrounds Borsetshire.

Pryce Baumann is working [Alice] too hard.
After Mojito Mondays and Tequila Tuesdays, Whisky Wednesdays were just the last straw.

Ruth goes to Home Farm for a crisis meeting. Jennifer thanks her for
all the work she’s put in as Ruairi’s attorney
What work would that be, then? Nebbing into other folks’ business isn’t work for Ruth, and having free rein to do so and at their own invitation must be absolute blissikins for her.
