Well, I certainly can’t smell it ;- )
That’s gorgeous, Twelsy.
And there was me trying to test you Gus!

I am a great fan of the 3/4 sleeve.
Very flattering

Oi! Titter ye not, missus!
An bee that has swallowed an turnip?
How devastatingly accurate rude.
An bee that has taken peppermint oil. Still tittering.

Oooh! Lovely.
I am now embarked on dishcloths knitted from undyed cotton string, the same pattern as the centre of the shawl but only 25cm across, and with the last round and the cast-off row having some coloured cotton yarn added to make each a little different for washing purposes.
Late MiL used to knit dishcloths, but only in purl. They were the best things ever for all sorts of jobs, & could be bleached.
A friend used to used old terry nappies as her cleaning cloths, as they were so absorbent.

The idea is to have several, and put the one in use into the washing-machine every time a wash goes on, then start a fresh one next time one is needed.
My mama used old (boiled!) terry nappies for all sorts of things: the silver cloth for polishing the wedding-present epergne that she hated, dishcloths, floorcloths when the dishcloths were demoted, bath cleaning cloths, general polishing and dusting cloths; one was even used for drying a motorbike saddle in the mornings if it had rained in the night.
And that was after they had been used for three babies!
This finally arrived for B
I think she will like it
For a christening shawl for her grand weans in due course…
Oh, how splendid!
I treasure it, Gus.
