I hate to say this about a respectable hen but - she’s doing a Helen, isn’t she? Or perhaps I mean she is effortlessly encapsulating Helen’s self-image.
I just want to gently stroke Joe’s girlies
I love stroking feathers
Titi (pronounced TeeTee ) has beautifully soft feathers
We are apparently having thunder and frightning as poor Titi is on her lowest perch looking as if she wants to go to sleep
She is normally on her swing happily singing and watching telly
She’s actually on sentry duty - note chick at her feet.
The one who’s sort of given up on the practical side of parenting is Vicky. Not through choice, but because Bella and Violet basically stole all the chicks.
I want henses
I’m surprised that you don’t have them, Twellsy

Noted. But I did say ‘self-image’. “See me being serene and maternal” is the narrative in Helen’s head.
“For all of five minutes, when it suits you” is the footnote in ours.
Kiki & Vicky having one of those father/daughter chats…
And in other news, the newbies have been learning about their natural habitat:
And a rare glimpse of Violet’s face:
I do like these glimpses into the lives of your various hen-folk.
As do I. Fabulous photies, joe. Thank you.

Fambly outing…

Loud Grins and a bit of grit in the eye might have happened hereabouts.

Definitely
That’s so sweet, joe. I can still remember the Rhode Island Reds that all of Mam’s side of the family used to keep - their smell, their weight and the feel of their feathers - the Bantams, likewise. Ooh - and the sleepy-time crooning. One day, maybe…I’ll make do with yours, until then.

That really is one very beautiful bird.
