The short answer is “yes”. I would notice.
The boiled and embossed leather is the decorative strips and the spauldrons; the rest is as soft as it can be and still feel like leather.

Fab weskit and a beautifully knitted shawl.
This whole thing about cauliflower shortages has me non-plussed. Yesterday the Co-op had none and said they didn’t reckon on having any for some considerable time. Our nearest greengrocer said the same. I had wanted cauli for tonight’s meal with friends. Popped over to Tesco, today, to find racks upon racks of Scottish cauliflowers, so it’s back on the menu.

Having eaten very little since I started the cold from hell nearly a week ago cos I felt nauseous all the time, for the last 3 days I have been er, ditto - violently disordered. Only eaten 5 dry oatcakes in 48 hrs. Am now weak & wobbly, and freezing bloody cold (from malnutrition I assume, since temp normal) and being nursed by lovely OH. Doc just says rest and water. Now fed up & miserable.
At least my foot doesn’t hurt!
