Goodness, that sounds quite remarkably unamusing, TFM. Hope you are sitting up and taking nourishment soon.
I have done a great deal of dozing and kept an eye on my foot - azzit were. It is not doing anything untoward in the way of Spreading Redness, so all is well. It is doing a certain amount in the ‘hurts like heck to walk on’ department, but since that will be purely structural, it is not a Worry particularly.
Me too. And I have now consumed a small bowl of consomme (from a tin, OH is doing more than enough without making that himself) with 3 oatcakes, as a result of which I have a small brass band playing in my guts. (I’m sure you all wished to know that.)
Good news re the lack of spreading redness but what a pair we are. Still, we shall cheer each other on to recovery.
Yeah well. Just returned from a spot of emergency ‘babysitting’. Of which more later, possibly. My foot can’t be that bad, since I have a strong desire to kick a couple of bottoms most soundly, and the afflicted foot is my kicking one. It Would Be Worth It. Gah!
PS: the indelicate gurgling and squeaks, oh yes!.. I whistle your tune, sistah!
I feel better today than I have since I got back, TBH
I slept well last night, & slept for an hour this afternoon too
Tomorrow will be a long day, but my NDN will have bought me some milk & bread & there is Beer in the 'fridge, & Wine too , or at least there should be…
The Spirits shelf in the Kredenz is shockingly empty, but there is the Tutti Frutti (Duty Free) at Koeln/Bonn to sort that out…
Sorry for gammy feet and gurgling guts and hoping for, erm, relief.
Dinner was good, if I do say so. Friends brought pud which wozza fruit crumble (plums, blackberries, blackcurrants) enveloped in creamy deliciousness. My favourite pud-maker knows how to tempt a bee.
xx
Yes, I’ve caught up at the back.
I’m so glad that your time at the Fishly-Dunnocks’ has been so restorative and wish you similarly happy and convivial rest in Carinthia.
Sweet (but short) dreams, Dearheart.
Soo xx
I’ve waited to see if anyone else was going to comment, but faute de mieux…
A splendidly convivial evening. Much fascinating and sparkling conversation on the wide range of topics, with added sneezing hens and sarcastic parrots…
I’d say more, but owing to a power cut at home I was rather late to the feast; perhaps some of those who were there earlier can fill in the blanks? It was wonderful finally to make the personal acquaintance of some of those who I’ve “known” virtually for so long. May it be the first of many such delightful occasions!
