So, who wants to help ... to cower in the cellar?

Into which I seem inadvertently to have strayed.

Must be a problem with the heating. The beer keeps evaporating…

Looks like a dangerously dry room, Joe. You’d better order a few more to help humidify the place.

Not a problem were it happening now as it is persisting it down in stairrods. The Met Office seem to think there isn’t going to be much in the way of precipitation tomorrow, but what do they know? Budget cuts have been savage and their seaweed is several years out of date.

Morning all.

Power cut just as I was getting up: from 10:03:58 until 10:07:54, say the UPS logs. Biggest complication was that I was fettling something else remotely at the time.

Speakin’ as a less-than-feral techie, I’d say: leave the house calmly and take shelter with a neighbour while you call the emergency services.

Well we had a great expedition

We went and bought a new vacuum cleaner

A Dyson V11 absolute

It is now mounted on the wall and charging

Cables appear to need a hammer to break through wood where a drill failed!

I am taking refuge in the kitchen…

How exciting, Twellsy

Modern vacuum cleaners with their multiple filters need emptying after every use though

Mine goes in the compostible (sp) rubbish

It’s wonderful

My beautiful hand woven silk and wool carpet with a tree of life pattern is now on the floor and the bright orange and black hand woven Greek rug is down as well

My shocking pink sheep fleece rug is wonderful to sink my bare tootsies in
Actually making the living room our own is such a joy

All the gorgeous things are coming out of storage

16 years to recover from the trauma of being intimidated out of our home

Making our house OURS is wonderful
