But I did quite like the v brief appearance of Thomas the Tank (although he and his associates - who are a bunch of uncooperative sneaks and clypes anyway - made my life a misery for a couple of years. Sodor? Sod off.)

I can cast on, Carinthia. I could, if forced, do a few rows of stocking stitch or garter stitch or summick. But, I could not make beautiful knitted garments and I take my frilly cap off to those who can.

Very small victories. Yesterday I remembered that the roofers would want access to most of the front of the house, and left the car elsewhere. Today I was woken by the alarm rather than by the doorbell.
