So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 1)

You still use oil in an air fryer - just minute amounts compared to a pan. It’s brilliant for roast potatoes.

Pretty much what I was old at the doctor’s the other day…

But enough of that! Not only can an air fryer use duck fat, it works extremely well. I speak from experience.

I wish I could only be old when I’m at the doctor’s.

In typo veritas…

It gets a bit painful when the list of routine checks gets rather long, all prefaced by “at your age…”

If it makes you feel any better, the first time a doctor ‘at your age’-ed at me I was 39. It came as a bit of a shock then, and now they’ve been saying it for 30 years, gawdhelpme.

Fabulous scarf, Gusly One. I am sporting it after a cyber fashion. Speaking of bees - the massive hole across our drive has been filled in (not ‘finished’) and we have honey bees whizzing about with baskets of pollen and sometimes dodging into a tiny hole in the recently compacted earth. Given the timescale, we are baffled.

Supper was ‘prawns in a dark sauce’ (Madhur) with cauli/potato bhaji.
