Sad news indeed, but she was ready to go, & died peacefully.

I have a portion of chicken curry from the freezer for today. Lunch will be wholemeal Pitta bread toasted, wiv cheese.

I last had Brik when I was in Tunisia with BIL.

The Poppy Candle has been burning all day. I bought a Poppy holder for Dig some years ago, so it seems fitting to have it lit.

It is called Vegetarian Brick because the first time I made it there was a resemblance to an Essex house-brick in shape and colour; that is not its official name. Its official name is Vegetarian Christmas Roast.

Thanks for the hope, but ‘reasonably what?’ would be the question and ‘reasonably bloody awful’ would be the answer.

We’ve been taking a first look at the job of clearing the house and all I can say is, they fuck you up, your mum and dad, but it takes your in-laws to do a proper job of it. I won’t give details but you wouldn’t believe some of what we found.

Still, we’ll get there in the end and today has been better.
