I don’t have recollections of either coffee or freezers from my childhood - save for the fact that ‘coffee was for adults and not very nice’. Once the barricades were breached I was free to make Dad coffee/walnut cake with Nescafé.

There’s a special dispensation for St Patrick’s Day, Twellsy.
I don’t give up things for Lent, instead I try to do things I don’t particularly like doing & then I make up a box for the Food Bank. A bit like the one I do for Advent.

I shall, as usual, give up abstinence for lent. In the past, I always gave up chastity as well but I’m not as strict about that as I used to be.

Ash Wednesday & Good Friday are the days of Fasting & Abstinence, TFM.
I don’t fast, because it buggers-up the medication, but I don’t eat meat on those 2 days.
