Beers fer Feral :clinking_beer_mugs: because

a) board not broke; and

b) Oktoberfest.

However and notwithstanding the above, appearance in the Cellar in Lederhosen, Dirndl or [the Twellsy Clause] Squeakwins will be regarded as Poor Taste and dealt with accordingly. Darrington knows what to do.

Marmite and honey on toast is rather good.

I’ve enjoyed salty caramel, for that matter. But I find myself strangely unconvinced even so.

Reportedly, this abomination has a slight aftertaste of something that might be marmite.

But what are people supposed to do with it? OK, as a hater of anything much that is sweet, I wouldn’t want to do anything with it other than hurl it into a bin, but I am at a loss to think what anyone might use it for.

I imagine on breakfast pancakes, or with ice cream. I can think of other uses, but this is a respectable Cellar.

why yes, anthills were involved. In one of them, anyway.

Well, certainly not for eating, TFM.

Marmite with ice cream? Much as I love Marmite…

I wasn’t recommending it as a course of action, merely saying what I imagined purchasers had in mind.

That way madness lies, Dear. Shun it, all of it, apart from the Marmite which is delicious.

Hmm

Marmite and cheddar pinwheels are wonderful cockytail nibbles

Marmite with aught sweet is shunned by me

I have a jar of XO Marmite which is going to pair with Kerrygold on crumpets tomorrow

I am about to make gravy using Marmite, to go with Toad in the Hole (or, in this family, Toads in Context).

I recently ate a teaspoonful of Marmite - neat. I suspect the art of suggestion being at work.

Now you’re talking!

I have been known to do that when the craving hits. Not all at once but if no-one is watching I take a whole teaspoonful from the jar and then slowly lick it off, a bit like the way I might eat an ice cream.
