Friend in Connecticut called this afternoon. Seven wee girls attended his daughter’s 10th birthday party at the weekend. He seemed still to be in shock. ‘It was horrible’, he said more than once…
Still remembering the chap back in March who was thinking about changing the theme of his small son’s birthday party from “Batman” to “Don’t Lick That”.
It’s the piercing shrieks I can’t be doing with
Very sultry & Bleeeurgh here, & still 22° outside

Children are chanting outside. Alas, tonight’s game is old-school dungeon bashing, not modern horror.
Windows open, hoping for some breeze as the sun sets (which it did 7 minutes ago).
Tentacular Things will come for them in the night.
Cheese, Martyr, Apple & Red Onion as an mixed salad for me this evening.
How did your ‘do’ go, Fishy?
Carinthia.xx
The"do" was great fun, and I had a bacon sandwich!
meep!
We had a version of this:

But, it wasn’t quite that, as soured cream was used. And, conchiglie.
Anyhoo, it was grand.
Tomorrow we’ll go to Church, as we transport a lady, sometimes to it and always from. I am steeling myself for a conversation along the lines of ‘I don’t think we should be doing this. For the foreseeable’. Well, wish me luck, if you will. Maybe a Fish Quay experience afterwards will ameliorate…And I’m off to bed. Lightweight, I know. Best dreams,
Soo xx
I do wish you luck. But it’s all such a shame.
Sleep well, wee Bee.

And a lot ovvit is shaming, Gus.
We’ll do our best.

That looks really good, Soo . I had summat similar in Carinthia last year. Tagliatelle with a mixture of smoked & fresh poached salmon. It was delicious .
Hmm
I believe that I have most of the ingredients to make a somewhat bastardised version for tomorrow
Masks on & windows open seems to be the current travelling advice .I haven’t been to Mass since Palm Sunday as churches were closed very abruptly. It was beyond strange ,although I do, of course understand the reasons. Holy Week, where I , & countless others are used to certain routine & ritual, was most strange.
Still , we then got a Techie Nun, anna FaceAche Group to help us through it…
Masses in Church started again 2 months ago, but not for everyone. Now we can all attend, but have to book a seat so that the numbers can be controlled.
I continue at Carinthia Towers with my Daily Candles. More often than not, they are Nightly too…
Gawds,I wrote ravelling at first
Unravelling more like
Sigh
Do give my love to the Fish Wives when you see them

yardarm
sent from me bath.
I got given a vegetable marrow of considerable dimensions for my birthday, so at some point we shall be having stuffed marrow.
Oooo I likes a well stuffed marrer I does
Here I am trying to think about jazzing up pork chops and failing
Wholegrain mustard & soft brown sugar glaze?
That would be nice for the Bull thank you
I am having pork black pudding and apple sossiges
I would be having a small ‘heart-sink’ moment there, Fishy. I like stuffed marrow, but not enuff to eat it twice, & Mr C wouldn’t touch it at all.
A neighbour used to make marrow & ginger jam, but I’m not fond of jam either.
