A bee needs to know, Gusly One. Sounds delicious (panch phoran rocks - took some oop north for DD) and way better than stuffed courgettes. I bit my tongue horribly painfully halfway through dinner and didn’t go back to it. Himself beefully and gleefully helped clear one’s plate. Sigh.

I think that it’s a Bangladeshi spice mix, Twellsy, with Fenugreek, Black Mustard seeds etc.

Like a sort of Bangladeshi 5 Spice Powder, only seeds.

Crossthreading out of the spoiler area, why is so much pulled pork utterly rubbish? Even at food trucks which generally manage not to be bland, it often tastes of nothing at all.

I think that a lot of it is cooked too quickly & then shredded into cheap&sticky BBQ sauce, Dunnock.
I made it for the Junior Darlings & it was delicious, but took severial hours.

I will raise a glass to ‘Lord Jim’ later, as I see, from Peets that he has, sadly, died.

Pulled pork needs a very slow bbq and frequently basting with the marinade which should be spicy and hot

Leftover marinade is boiled to become the sauces
I have cooked the pig meat in a slow cooker and plifgtly
Smoked it oythe bbq
