I must admit I find it demoralising
I am proud of my baking ability and to think I was losing that along with all other things would be very hard to take
That and going back to tighter restrictions that were put in place early this week meaning I am in lockdown on my GP’s instructions have me feeling low with that bluddy black dog threatening to slip its chains and sit firmly on my lap
I need to shake myself but cannot find the energy

I willn give Gary Rhodes’ gingerbread parkin a lash tomorrow and see how that goes
Now I am going to take out my anger at bluddy selfish folk running onto sport pitches to hug the team and silly dtudents having parties involving 6o to a room and folk generally behaving as if Corvid was all gone away
AND folk not keeping their distance in supermarkets

Frankly, you’re being daft.
Why would you be ‘losing your baking ability’? You cook excellent meals from scratch more or less daily, and you regularly bake bread. There isn’t a specific brain area dedicated solely to cake making, so chances are, with your own or sensible people like Mary Berry or Rachel Allen’s recipes, your cakes too would turn out very well.
In fact, isn’t that what happened with the great Lemon Drizzle fiasco? After two disasters you reverted to your tried and tested version and hey presto! a proper cake.
Ditch this stupid group, which is just wasting ingredients and making you unhappy, and go and make an old favourite from your cake repertoire instead, ffs.
Grrrr. I feel better now.

I have just given a bread dough a good thumping knead and it was at the stage of being sproingy when I threw it into the bowl to prove
Tonight is chicken fillets avec salad

I am in lockdown but I might be able to goto my craft session with M who is a nurse who understands that we are masked and visored and at each end of a big big room
And she sterilises the whole room before I arrive
