So, who wants to help ... to rattle on in the cellar?

I hope that the Bottle Tombola goes really well & that you can finish early. I’m sure that Mr Soo isn’t really well enuff fer the hassle

Orff to BiL’s this afternoon & back on Monday

Safe travels and pleasant visiting, Carinthia. xx You’re right about Mr Soo, but he has promised, so he’ll do it.

Thanks fer the good wishes, Hedgers. Neither ovvus particularly looks forward to the BT, but it can only last for two hours or so…The Old Pickled Smoked Garlic may come in handy as an olfactory stimulant - like Sal Volatile, for example. I’m downing me stiffener - ta.

That’s the Noël Coward recipe (see discussion upthread)

Then give the tumbler to someone else and finish the bottle?

Well of course. It wouldn’t do to be selfish

Too kind, Hedgers. Most human and avian types don’t appreciate the extra suffering endured by we apian types, on account of the extra sore feet.
Erm, where did That Fish go a-jollying?
Cheers!

The outside light fitting is apparently leaking; at least, after some heavy rain earlier, it tripped the breaker when I turned it on, even once I’d removed the bulb. I don’t love it anyway; it’s a fake lantern sort of thing. I shall prolly go and look for another one.

But not tomorrow.

Sleep well, soo.

[Attempts to look less intrigued]

I remember the delight I felt when our outside fakey lantern light fritzed. We sport a much more tasteful job, now.
All I must do, today, is to sort out MiL’s emergency lighting. I have taken all Cellarites’ suggestions on board and just hope that *Homebase and Tesco can rise to the challenge.

It certainly sounds like ‘fun’ for you, Carinthia. Avvanug.

*Home of the glittery lav seat…hmmmmm.

Uurrkkk

Was rudely awoken at 4 am by an almighty crash

BiL had fallen out of bed between the bed & wall, & was stuck…
I managed to inch the bed away from him & he was, eventually, able to shuffle round & get back in

I lay awake for the next 2 hours wondering what he was going to do next !

He’s in the shower ATM, so we will be counting bruises shortly

Sigh
