At half past midnight, according to the schedule, they start News Special Part 3. R1, 2 and 3 as well. If you just wanted to hear some music, or drama… well, people will flee to the Internet even faster than they were already.
(I am not a republican - “President Johnson” - but nor am I endlessly fascinated by history and the repeated news “yup, still dead”.)

I want to be a republican, truly I do. Some countries manage rational republican models. I’ve no doubt we would comprehensively shoot ourselves in the foot if we tried, though.
