Unless Trump has a landslide victory, he will dispute it.

I don’t think it is likely he will have a landslide victory.

Therefore there will be at least one state disputed to the bitter end – and we won’t find out some of the results for at least another week anyway, by which time he will either have demanded every vote must be counted (if it looks like going against him at midnight on election day) or demanded that counting must stop at midnight (if it looks as if it has gone his way at that point).

That counts as disputing in my book.

I think I’ll wait until after January 6th 2021 before I start to wonder what happens next, on the whole. I have little faith in faithless electors, and every reason to think those are more likely on one side than on the other.

The problem with this poll is that it doesn’t differentiate between getting the most votes and winning the election. As several recent US elections have shown, the two are far from synonymous.

I wonder what they’d say if that happened in South America or Eastern Europe?
